My Top 10 Albums of 2009

Prior to compiling this list, I honestly thought I’d struggle to find 10 worthy albums. From what I can remember, it didn’t really seem like a stellar year of music (to me). However, once I started flicking through my playlists, it soon became evident that we have, in fact, been spoilt. Either I wasn’t paying attention, or all of these great albums snuck up on me.

Well, without further ado, it’s time to reveal my ‘Top 10 Albums of 2009′ (plus another ten or so worthy runners-up).

Rightio. We took a little break. It was nice. But now, it’s time to get back to the serious business of bloggin’!

The first thing I want to inform the world about is an album I’ve completely fallen in love with and is on the fast track to becoming my #1 album of 2009.

Full of nostalgic, 80s synth goodness and dark brooding drumbeats, the follow up album of Fur and Gold (2006) is dark, mystical and wonderfully enchanting. Lead singer Natasha Khan’s somewhat innocent vocals fill the room with layers of gloom, Read on!
