Corporate Identity: Sheesh Grill
Following the lead of Mezza Lebanese Grill, an already successful Lebanese eatery in Carlton’s renowned Lygon Street. The family run business wanted to offer the flavours and experience of traditional Mediterranean cuisine, by way of offering healthy, tasty food that’s convenient and affordable.
Conscious of the stereotypical stigma attached to food court eateries, it was important to differentiate Sheesh Grill as a Lebanese fast-food restaurant that offered quick and affordable meals-to-go or enjoy in a casual and comfortable dining experience.
Inspired by the hooks and tails of the written Arabic language, the typemark incorporates subtle elements of Sheesh’s origins, combined with a touch of yesteryear, evoking a suitably vintage look and feel. Synonymous with drive through burger joints from the 50s, the dynamic angle of the type and playful incorporation of the word ‘Grill’ assist in creating a fun and memorable brand.
