Created for Design Junction: BORUI specialises in importing and exporting high quality products direct from Asia, including cashmere, wool, animal skin and fine wines. The company wanted to target women aged between 30 to 90 years of age in both hotel and boutique retail industries. The logomark utilises a circular emblem which holds the stylised letters 'B' and 'R' of Bo and

Rui (Chinese for ‘Even Number’ and ‘Golden Treasure’) to create the shape of a butterfly (playing on the feminine aspect of the business) it also represents a four leaf clover for luck and the golden colouring emanates fortune. The points of North, East, South and West are also included in the outer white ring to signify the 'Importing' aspect of the business.
