Koodoz Design came into existence back in 1999 as the brainchild of Marc Katsambis (Koodoz Design Director). Marc soon realised that after years of studying art in high school and constantly critiquing the logos and brand names he saw around him, it became clear that graphic design was a path he should follow.
Working closely with friends in the IT field, he quickly learned the skills of hand coding HTML and picked up on the essential elements of Adobe Photoshop allowing him to develop some of his first web site designs. Then, in late 2000, he enrolled into Brisbane North Institute of TAFE, Ithaca Campus to complete a Certificate III in Graphic Design. In 2001, via TAFE, he gained entry into James Cook University in Townsville to study a Bachelor of Communication Design.

After the first semester, it was suggested by the university faculty that he possessed enough knowledge and skill to leave university and jump into the design industry.
Taking their points on board, he quickly gained a job in Brisbane as the designer for a new weekly TV magazine where he honed his skills in print media and finished art. Not long after, Marc decided to create Koodoz Design and operate as a freelance designer. Marc then gained a design job at Judds, an advertising agency in Abbottsford where he worked for 18 months. In 2005, with itchy feet and a newfound love he and his partner Jeanene traveled and worked for 13 months throughout North America, The Caribbean, United Kingdom and Western Europe. During their time in Dublin, Ireland they were offered the opportunity to become the Australian agents of one of Ireland’s biggest Interactive Mobile Content companies, Zamano Solutions.
Arriving back in Melbourne in late 2006, Koodoz Design re-ignited itself as a fully-fledged graphic design business.
